What is a loofah?
A loofah (luffa) is a natural sponge made from the dried, fibrous interior of the luffa gourd, a plant in the same family as cucumbers and melons. Our loofahs are sun-cured and 100% plant-based, ideal for gentle exfoliation in the shower and scratch-free cleaning in the kitchen.
How do I use a natural loofah sponge?
1. Soak the loofah in warm water until soft.
2. Gently massage your skin in circular motions, with or without soap.
3. Rinse and hang to dry in a well-ventilated area.
Use 2–3 times a week for smooth, radiant skin.
How do I clean my loofah?
Rinse it thoroughly after every use, gently squeeze out the water and hang it to dry away from the shower. To keep it fresh, soak it from time to time in warm water with a splash of white vinegar or a few drops of tea tree essential oil, then let it dry completely.
How long does a loofah last?
With proper care, a natural Egyptian loofah lasts 3 to 4 months. Rinse and air-dry it after each use. At the end of its life it is fully compostable.
